This Is It!

This is my final post of 2005. Can you believe the year is over? I hope you all have fantastic New Year's with minimal hangovers! I'm heading up to Wisconsin with some friends which I'm super excited for. I only wish that there was snow on the ground. Last year we went to this "private" sledding run that was awesome! We each got one run in before we were not so politely asked to leave. Anyway Happy New Year! See you in 06!

Speaking of Veronica...

I am in serious Veronica Mars withdrawal right now. Is anyone else feeling the same way or I am just a complete looney bin? I think we still have two or so weeks to go until a new episode. Argh what to do, what to do!! Well since I didn't get the Veronica Mars season 1 DVDs for Christmas (it was at the top of my list Santa, hello!!) I am going to have to go buy them tomorrow myself to ease the craving for VM just a tiny bit!

Whatd'ya Think?

Did anyone watch the Project Runway mini marathon last night? Are you hooked? I did watch and it was really good. I'm pretty sure Heidi Klum is just about the cutest thing on this planet. I'm so excited for a new episode next Wed!

Veronica Casting News

You have probably heard the Veronica Mars casting news by now but just in case you haven't here goes! Reality tv's biggest brat, Kristin Cavalleri from Laguna Beach is coming to Veronica Mars. She will play a closeted lesbian cheerleader who turns to VM for help. It is supposed to be just a 1 episode role. I don't like this move at all. All this stunt casting is making VM look like Will and Grace which has a "special guest star" almost every episode. It's not just the stunt casting I also just really, really don't like Kristin C at all. She drives me up the wall! And you know the only reason she got this part is because she is the host of a new UPN show coming out soon. I hope the VM producers prove me wrong and I fall in love with Kristin C during this episode.

Tuesday TV

Is tv on Tuesday dead? The shows I watch on Tuesday (My Name is Earl and The Office) have moved to Thursday. I also watched The Biggest Loser on Tuesdays at 7 but that is over. So now I have a lot of empty slots to fill. What shows am I missing that I should be watching on Tuesday? Scrubs comes back in January and I'm planning on watching that but what else is on? House? Eh I was never really impressed with House. There is a grumpy doctor who solves weird medical mysteries. Each episode I've seen seemed the same, but maybe I'm not being fair. Gilmore Girls is on Tuesday I think. I have never gotten into this show, is it too late? What else is there? I'll take any and all suggestions.

Runway Recap

Remember last week when I was raving about Project Runway and how much I love it after seeing one episode? Well tonight is your chance (and mine) to catch up on all the craziness that has gone down in season 2 so far. Bravo is showing episodes 1 through 4 starting tonight at 8/7 CST. I am so excited to see what happened in the previous episodes. It's bound to be entertaining and plenty captivating. Ok captivating might be too strong of a word! If anyone watches it tonight let me know what you think!

Grey Matter

I found a really cool new blog today for any Grey's Anatomy fans out there. Now it is probably a bad idea to tell people about other blogs but it's not like there is a one blog per day rule or anything. The blog is called Grey Matter and is written by the writers of Grey's Anatomy. The writer of each episode describes how they came up with their idea for that episode and any behind the scenes info. I have only read a few posts so far but it is really interesting! This only makes me want new episodes now!

Quick Nibbles

So I saw a bunch of movies over my four day weekend and I figured even though this is a tv blog I could give a quickie review/recommendation for each one.

Munich - I thought this movie was great. It is just shy of three hours but there isn't a slow minute in the whole film. The plot is intriguing and terrifying and the side stories are heart breaking. Scratch that the whole thing from beginning to end is heart breaking. I highly, highly recommend seeing this. I saw this with three other people and we all liked it except for my brother. The only reason he didn't like it is because he is a huge history buff and he knew most of the plot was fiction. That didn't bother me in the least! Also when I walked out of the theater it definitely left me thinking about things but not terribly depressed like Schindler's List or Saving Private Ryan.
Also it doesn't hurt that Eric Bana is drop dead gorgeous, I could not take my eyes off him. I never understand his appeal before but now he is closing in on Jake Gyllenhall!

The Squid and the Whale - This movie was good, not great but good. The acting is magnificient and the film moves along at a decent pace. The kids in this movie easily steal the show. The younger boy Frank is played by Owen Kline who is the son of Kevin Kline and Phoebe Cates. He does a really good job as does Jesse Eisenberg who plays the older son. Also I found this movie to be funny in a very, very dark way. I laughed a lot but there was only one othe r person in the theater laughing with me so maybe I have no soul! Good movie, it was worth my $5.50 (I love matinees and so does the over 80 crowd that was at the theater!)

Lords of Dogtown ( on DVD) - I was really looking forward to this movie and when it finally arrived in the mail from Netflix I was so excited. Bad call on my part. This movie was not good. I didn't even finish it and that never happens. Part of the reason I didn't like it might be because one person I was watching it with fell asleep and the other bad mouthed it the whole time. But I had no problem turning this off and mailing it back. The plot was thin and the characters were extremely underdeveloped. I don't recommend this one!

I Tried Something New...

And I love it! I keep hearing about this show called Project Runway Season 2 and how good it is but I was never interested because fashion just isn't my thing. Well I watched it last night and I absolutely love it!! It is definitely going on my must-see list! The show is basically like The Apprentice but for fashion designers. This episode they had to design lingerie and create three different looks from one person's vision. So they were working in teams of 3 which is hysterical because every person on the show is such a character. There is this one guy Santino who I call the Evil Greek. I'm not even sure if he is Greek but he is this super tall and skinny guy with a beard and little ponytail and this guy is just nuts. He thinks he is God's gift to the Earth and he drives me and everyone on the show up the wall. Oh there is so much I want to tell you guys about this show like how cute Heidi is and how I totally have a new crush on one of the designers ( a guy designer) and I could just go on and on about how horrible Santino is but I won't give him that satisfaction!! I highly recommend checking out this show. It airs Wed nights on Bravo at 10/9c so right after Veronica Mars switch over to Bravo! And guess what! This Wednesday they are airing a Project Runway marathon so we can catch up on the episodes we missed! I believe there have been four episodes total. So watch this show or else...you're out!

Can you pick my crush from this picture? Can you pick Santino out of the crowd?

Top Ten Shows of 2005

Well it's almost 2006 so I figured now would be a good time to wrap-up 2005 with handy list of the top ten tv shows. Here is my list, there shouldn't be any big surprises!

1) Veronica Mars
2) Grey's Anatomy
3) Everwood
4) The Office
5) Arrested Development
6) Prison Break
7) 24 (season 5 coming soon!)
8) Laguna Beach
9) My Name is Earl
10) How I Met Your Mother (it makes the list even though I have only seen a few eps!)

Runner Up: Project Runway, Biggest Loser 2, Run's House and Everybody Hates Chris

So I beared my soul guilty pleasures and all, what are you top ten shows of 2005?

News from Neptune

Are you guys in Veronica withdrawal like I am? No new episodes for a few weeks still but we'll get through this. Here is something to chew on. On an upcoming episode of the show there is going to be an E! True Hollywood story type of show done on Aaron Echolls and they are looking for an actor to play Aaron Echolls in the E! True Hollywood Story. Got all that? Apparently they tried to get Peter Gallagher but he was too expensive. Any other ideas? I was thinking Lorenzo Lamas or the guy that Nicollette Sheridan just broke up with. I thought it would be funny because Nicollette and Harry Hamlin aka Aaron Echolls used to be married. Ok maybe not so funny. Anyway share you casting suggestions in the comments!

Vote for Veronica

Please vote for Entertainment Weekly to cover Veronica Mars on a weekly basis in this poll. Right VM has a slim lead! Help VM get the national media coverage it deserves!

Deal or No Deal

Have you guys seen this new game show Deal or No Deal that is on NBC at 8/7 CST. It's kind of interesting and kind of silly at the same time. I caught the last 20 minutes of it last night but basically there are 25 cases with amounts varying from .01 cent to one million dollars. The contestant picks one case to hold on to and then picks cases to open and every 5 or so cases "the bank" calls and offers to buy the case that the contestant has from them. So if they opened five cases and none of the cases were big money then the bank is going to be nervous that she has the million dollar case and will offer her money. If the contestant takes the deal then she walks away from whatever money is in the case, if she says no deal then the contestant opens more cases and on and on this goes. It is pretty stupid but for some reason it is so compelling to watch. I am going to be watching again tonight, it's worth checking out.

I'm Alive

Don't worry I am still alive despite the frigid temps (it is much better now) in Chicago. Work has been super busy and my life has just been kind of crazy lately. Tomorrow I hope to get back into my regular schedule of posting. But after tomorrow I am off until Tuesday and will most likely not be able to post. So hang in there with me and I will get back in the swing of things. It's nice to be missed!

Long Winter Nap

So sorry for the lack of posts yesterday and today. Yesterday I was deathly ill and I was in a meeting all day. Today I am just super, super busy and still not feeling so hot and guess what, I have tomorrow off. So that probably means no more posts until Monday. I'm sorry I know I stink! But Monday I will be back in full force and hopefully I will still have a reader or two left. Have a great weekend everyone!

Biggest Loser Couple News

Check out what I just read:
'Biggest Losers' Find Romance TogetherTuesday Dec 13, 2005
From People Magazine

It's official: Matt Hoover and Suzy Preston, who together lost a combined 248 pounds as contestants on NBC's The Biggest Loser, tell PEOPLE they're a couple. "I think it's going to be great," says Hoover, 29, a former salesman. "She is awesome." The way they met was anything but normal. Suzy was a bespectacled 220-lbs. and Matt was a burly 339. "I saw him at his worst, absolutely," says Preston, 28. "And he saw me at my worst. He saw me sweating and passing gas." Hoover thinks their shared experiences as finalists on Loser (he won the $250,000 grand prize, and now weighs 182 pounds; she took home $25,000 as second runner-up, and weighs 132 pounds) gives their romance a unique foundation. "We have a lot in common. Going through something like we went through is life-changing. We are not the same people we were before all this and we are both at a point in our lives where we know what it's like to be fat and miserable – and what it's like to be happy and healthy." Hoover, who lives in Iowa, said he is contemplating a move to be closer to Preston, a hairstylist, in Seattle.

Awww...how cute! I love Suzy to death and I'm glad she is happy. Matt was a little intense at times but he has a good heart. Hurray for them!

Props and Drops

The Golden Globe nominees were announced this morning in CA. There is some good news and there is some bad news. Which do you want first? How about the good.

Patrick Dempsey was nominated for Best Actor in a Drama Series - hurray!
Sandra Oh was nominated for Best Supporting Actor of Grey's Anatomy - yippee!
Wentworth Miller was nominated for Best Actor in a Drama Series - woot!
Kiefer Sutherland was nominated for Best Actor in a Drama Series - woohoo!
Grey's Anatomy and Prison Break were both nominated for Best Drama Series.
And wait there is more good news,
Steve Carell was nominated for Best Actor in Musical or Comedy Series - yes siree!
Weeds and Enoturage also had a handful of noms including Best Series Comedy or Musical for both shows!! Great news!

The bad news:
The Golden Globes really dropped the ball in my mind with these snubs

Veronica Mars and Kristen Bell were horribly snubbed, this show is a critical darling but is always missing from award shows. Boo! Jason Dohring also deserved a nom and was shut out!

Where were the Six Feet Under nominations? I was so suprised they were completely snubbed, am I missing some elegibility red tape or something?

No love for Arrested Development, last year Jason Bateman won the best actor in a comedy and this year nothing for him or the show. That makes me sad!

A complete list of the nominees is available here

What other snubs did you guys notice? Who do you think shouldn't have been nominated?

Oh the Horror!!

The most horrible thing happened to me yesterday (ok I'm being a little bit dramatic), I missed the new episode of Arrested Development. Doh! How could I have let that occur you ask? Well I live in a teeny tiny studio apartment and there is no room for a couch or a comfy chair so all of my tv watching is done from my bed. I love my bed so this is fine with me. Well last night I got home from work and crawled into my cozy bed with the newest issue of InStyle Magazine (which had a feature on Kristin Bell) and shortly after finishing the magazine I fell asleep. I had been exhausted all day so I should have guessed this would happen. I woke up and looked at the clock and realized I had missed 25 minutes of AD! And it turns out the Fox website was incorrect and the new episode aired first so when I realized that I was doubly upset!! So I managed to miss one of the very last new episodes of Arrested Development and for that I will never forgive myself (ok being dramatic again!!)

We'll Get Through This...

It's that time of year when the tv screen goes dark in many homes and instead families spend time together trimming the tree, caroling from door to door and making gingerbread houses. So during this time of family togetherness the tv networks don't air new episodes of our favorite shows. Of course those of us who aren't living in la la land know that things just don't go down that way and darn it I still need my regularly scheduled programming. What am I going to do with no Veronica Mars until mid-January and no Grey's Anatomy until a week after the New Years? Not to mention all the other shows that are taking a long winter's nap! I think I might actually be forced to spend time with my family!!

Do You Hear That?

That sound that started out as a very faint ticking in the back of my head is slowly getting louder as D day approaches for Arrested Development. I believe tonight is the 4th to last episode. The good news is that tonight at 8/7c there is a "classic" episode of Arrested Development followed by a new episode. I haven't heard any more news about AD getting picked up by another network but here's hoping that Kristin Veitch has some great news in the chat this afternoon over at E!Online Can you imagine life without each and every Bluth? I don't think I can! Ahh!

I'm Still Dreaming of a Grey Christmas

Darn I only caught the last 15 minutes of Grey's Anatomy last night!! But the little bit I did see was awesome, it included Izzie screaming at Alex about what Jesus would do and Dr. McDreamy confessing to Addison that Meredith wasn't a fling and that he still loved her. I can't wait to watch the episode in the correct order (beginning to end and not just the end!!) Was beginning and middle of the episode as good as the last ten minutes? I hope so!

Family Ties

Here is some casting scoop on Arrested Development according to Kristin Veitch,
Justine Bateman (the sister of Jason Bateman aka Michael Bluth) was on the set of Arrested Development this week and will supposedly be playing Michael's sister. Hmmm...as if having Lindsay as a sis wasn't enough!! The episode with Justine Bateman will be called Family Ties which is just hilarious in and of itself. In case you were born after 1995 Justine Bateman played Mallory on Family Ties from 1982 until 1989. Here is a funny pic of them as kids!

Breaking Celebrity News

Matt Damon has married his girlfriend of several years. I have to say that is one lucky girl, I saw Matt when I was in the audience of Oprah and he is gorgeous. Pictures definitely don't do him justice. Matt and his wife Luciana are expecting their first child together this summer.
http://www.usmagazine.com/

Hot Doc

So did everyone enjoy Everwood last night? I thought it was great although I missed the first seven minutes or so because of breaking news, I was screaming at my tv!! But the episode was fantastic. I was laughing out loud at Andy's online dating adventures and the fact that his screen name is hot doc! Ha! Also I was so happy at the outcome of Hannah being locked in the bathroom by Bright!! I certainly wasn't expecting that and clearly neither was Bright. How cute was he when he covered his eyes. Can I have him when Hannah is done with him? Wow alot happened this episode. I was so annoyed with Jake, I have really never liked him but I never knew he was a drug addict. I don't not like him because he is an addict it's mostly because he acts like a pompous ass most of the time and I couldn't believe he never told Nina!! I was so excited that Amy and Ephram finally hooked up and how cute were all the postcards that he wrote to her. I wish he would have mailed them! And thank God Ephram finally told Amy that he still loves her. Now maybe we can get on with this relationship that has been in a holding pattern for half a year! Finally what is up with Delia's behavior, not cool Delia!! I thought she would have learned from Ephram how not to act. I guess that would have been too easy.

I'm Dreaming of a Grey Christmas

Don't forget this Sunday is the Grey's Anatomy holidau episode, it is titled Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer here is the summary from ABC.com

Sunday, December 11th at 10/9c. Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer
A young boy needs a heart transplant but doesn't seem to want it, and his treatment causes Burke and Yang to have philosophical differences. Meanwhile, when the interns rally to help Alex prepare to re-take his exam, Meredith has to remind Izzie of the true spirit of the Christmas holiday; and despite a reconciliation with his wife, Derek isn't in a festive mood.

Sounds good, but then again when isn't Grey's good. One question, where is Dr. Bailey? I hope Izzie gets her fun-loving spirit back, I have to say I'm not sure Meredith is the right person to help her with that! But we will see what goes down on Sunday. Also I hope that Cristina and Burke don't break up because of their philosphical differences, that would make my Christmas very sad!

It's that time of year

Ok I have one more way off-topic item and then back to tv!! My friend who lives (lived) in New Orleans just told me about this website that is helping New Orleans shops get back to normal and help get the economy going. The website is Shop for New Orleans and since everyone is doing holiday shopping now anyway and much of it is being done online they suggest that you check out these shops and buy your gifts while helping out those in need at the same time. I have already ordered a few things and I urge everyone else to if possible! It always feels good to help out the less fortunate especially during this time of year.

Snow is not my friend...

It snowed 7 inches here in Chicago yesterday afternoon and night. It was not fun. I live 4 miles away from work and it took me an hour to get home! If I still lived in the suburbs a normally 45 minute commute would have taken up to 5 hours. Why do I live in Chicago again? The worst part was realizing my car had over a foot of plowed snow in front and on the side of it this morning. That was fun to "shovel" with my car's snow brush in my work clothes! I was up to my knees at some parts! Ok enough of my rant!
By the way this picture was taken some time in the afternoon and the snow continued until about 8 PM!!

Sex, Drugs and Showers

That is how Everwood producer Rina Mimoun describes tonight's new episode! I can't wait. Here is what she said to my favorite tv diva Kristin Veitch recently: "This Thursday's episode is a big one. Drugs! Sex! Showers! And someone telling the truth causes another someone to run into a third someone's arms."

Ooh I bet Jake telling the truth causes Nina to run into Andy's arms!! Or maybe someone says something to cause Amy to run into Ephram's arms. Or maybe I am just completely off here! It sounds like a great episode though and I'm super excited since I have missed a few episodes lately. I hope it's Bright we see in the shower. Hot!

He's Baaack

Did you guys catch last night's Veronica Mars? At the end of the episode I was kind of disappointed. I didn't like the whole jury set-up, it's much more interesting to see VM out and about sleuthing than just sitting in a jury room. I didn't really like the case they were working on either and I was kind of confused from time to time. The good parts about the episode were lots of daddy daughter time between Veronica and Keith, Deputy Leo was back and the interaction between Keith and Logan was great and of course Wallace came back at the very end!! I totally panicked for a minute because there was a commercial for a new UPN show called South Beach and a total Wallace look-alike is on it and I thought that meant Wallace had left the show. Phew! And of course at the end of the episode we find out who dies and it was Meg which is so sad but also super predictable. This just sets up Duncan leaving the show, he is going to take the baby and run I guarantee. I'm so bummed because I really like Duncan but I am slowly realizing that he is the most dispensable main cast member. So sad! Also sad is that there is no more Veronica until January!!!

And the winner is...

Nicole!! Congrats to Nicole for winning America's Next Top Model! I thought she totally deserved especially after her fierce runway performance. She rocked! I was sad to see my girl Bre go home in the semi-finals but I strangely found myself rooting for Nicole! Hopefully Nik and Bre will both land modeling contracts and will be able to have a great career. In the meantime good luck to Nicole, I'm sure your life is going to be crazy now!!

One Angry Veronica

Tonight is a brand new episode of Veronica Mars and everyone better watch because I think it is going on a short break after this episode. The episode is titled One Angry Veronica (a play on 12 Angry Men) and Veronica gets picked to serve on a jury. Also I just watched about half of the opening scene of tonight's episode on UPN.com and Meg is awake and talking! This should be good!! Except that I think this might mean the end of Duncan and VM as we know it. Duncan you are in a lot of trouble! Also I believe that someone either dies or leaves the show in this episode!! Yikes! I know I will also be keeping my fingers crossed that Wallace shows up (and not in a coffin!)

How About Now

Ok the link for the Zap2It article refuses to work so if you go to their main page and then select tv and then there should be a link to tv gal and it is her article. I hope you find it! I wish the darn link would work!

America's Next Top Surreal Lifer

Tonight is the long awaited (ok not so much) season finale of America's Next Top Model. This season has been very difficult for me to get into because I couldn't pick a girl to root for. None of them seemed to personable. Right now it is down to the final 3, Bre, Nicole and Nik. I am definitely not rooting for Nik because she seriously has no personality. Choosing between Bre and Nicole was very hard but I think I'm going to root for Bre. I'll be fine with it if Nicole wins but I am crossing my fingers for Bre. She is just so fiery and tough and she is gorgeous and takes great pictures. Plus I love her gravelly voice. I know you all will be waiting with bated breath for the big announcement tonight!! I'm sure I'll be either ranting or raving about it tomorrow! In the end though it really doesn't matter because whoever wins will probably just end up on The Surreal Life or Celebrity Fear Factor!

Top Ten TV Characters of 2005

I recently found an article on Zap2It.com that listed the top ten tv characters of the year. The list was really interesting. The article can be found here:

Top Ten TV Characters of 2005
Jim on "The Office": Now calm down, it's not just because he's my new secret TV boyfriend. John Krasinski could have easily been the office class clown. He's blessed with a funny script and some of the series' best deadpan lines. But whether he's silently pining for Pam, torturing Dwight, or barely keeping a straight face during Michael's outbursts, Krasinski takes Jim to a whole other level. On a show that is so absurd, I actually care about Pam and Jim. An actor who can so easily vacillate from the ridiculous to the serious is a true find.

Bright on "Everwood": Listen up, all you lollygaggers who just arrived at the "Bright is awesome" party. I've been on the Bright bandwagon for years now. And this season, you've really had a chance to see why. Because, like his character's romance with Hannah, Chris Pratt has blossomed. This is a role that could have easily been the dumb jock role and Pratt never, ever played it that way. I'm continually amazed by the layers Pratt has given such a seemingly one-dimensional character.

Lynette on "Desperate Housewives": How long have I loved Felicity Huffman? She amazed me when she was Dana on "Sports Night" (there are episodes of that series that still give me chills). So that certainly gives Huffman the edge among the "Housewives." But Huffman has been able to achieve something the other leading ladies haven't. I always, always believe Lynette. Talk to a rat in a trash can? Why not? Set up a fake kidnapping of your own children? Sure. She has always made Lynette the most relatable character (when they come out with the TV shirts, I'm so getting one that says, "I'm a Lynette"). Bonus points for having the show's best marriage.
Logan on "Veronica Mars": Like Pratt, Jason Dohring brings an unexpected complexity to his character. What I've loved this season is Dohring's ability to play Logan's bravado as a thinly veiled defense mechanism. Plus his delivery is spot-on. That scene between Logan and Kendall when she's trying to get his money was a master class in comic timing and delivery.

GOB on "Arrested Development": Michael (said in a deep, overly dramatic voice), what am I going to do without GOB in my life? I'm going to really need your support when "Arrested Development" goes off the air (which seems inevitable at this point). If one day you go to my column and it's just a blank black screen, send help immediately. With his deadpan voice and ever-solemn expression, Michael's older brother GOB is the funniest member of the Bluth family. And that's some tough competition.

Dr. Miranda Bailey on "Grey's Anatomy": I have long said that "Grey's Anatomy" is a mediocre, rather predictable show brimming with stellar performances. I think that is slowly changing (it's certainly an interesting move to keep McDreamy's wife around). And Chandra Wilson's sassy drill sergeant, who cares about her doctors but rarely shows it, is such fun to watch on a weekly basis.

Jin on "Lost": Trying to pick my favorite "Lost" character is a little bit of an exercise in futility. It changes from week to week. But Daniel Dae Kim has done something never before done is a network TV series -- he's gone a season and a half speaking very little English. He conveys in facial expressions what many actors cannot with pages of dialogue. On an island full intriguing characters, Jin remains the most fascinating.

Tony on "24": Who didn't cheer when Tony, Tony, Tony came to Jack's rescue last season? Every time we think he's out, the series pulls him back in. Although he's often burdened with preposterous situations (Michelle we're in crisis, let's make out), Carlos Bernard brings grace and gravity to his role.

Donna on "The West Wing": Um, the fact that I staged a "Where's Donna?" sit-in until her character was brought on to the Santos campaign is evidence that the show simply isn't the same without Josh's His Girl Friday.

Dr. House on "House": You're a mean one, Dr. House. Your patients may think you're nasty, but viewers simply love you. Hugh Laurie approaches his title role with an unabashed enthusiasm and zest for his on-screen alter-ego. He is the show.

I agree with most of those but I don't watch some of those shows so here are my favorite characters of 2005 (in no particular order):

Logan Echolls on Veronica Mars: I don't actually like his character but Logan is still an intense guy with a lot of layers.

Veronica Mars on Veronica Mars: This one may be too obvious but I just love VM, she is still spunky and curious even after everything that she has gone through.

Jim Halpert on The Office: Yes to everything she said before! Love him!

Dwight on The Office: So great of a character that no one would believe it is someone like him really existed!!

Bright on Everwood: Ditto to everything she said above!! Bright is my sunshine!! (Get it?)

Michael Scofield on Prison Break: What the heck is going on inside that head of his, or should I say what isn't going on! (Oh shoot technically he can't count if I go by the author's rules! Oh well this is my blog)
George Michael on Arrested Development: Whats not to love about this kid, he's akward, has an extremely messed-up family, has a crush on his cousin and he is funny (even though most of the time he doesn't try to be!!)

Cristina Yang on Grey's Anatomy - This girl has got some major issues but she is also a genius!

Dr. Miranda Bailey on Grey's Anatomy - Whew she is a spitfire and just all around fierce but you know she has a good heart hiding in there!

George O'Malley on Grey's Anatomy - he is just a mess and I love him for it.

GOB on Arrested Development - All I can say is: It's not a trick....it's an illusion!

What are your thoughts on the best chracters of '05?

Ho Ho Ho...Pimp!!

Ha! I love The Office and I hope everyone saw it last night. The episode was classic!! The best part wasn't even funny but when Pam gave Dwight the ipod she won in Yankee Swap so that he would give her the teapot that Jim had gotten for her. And she didn't even know that there were inside joke gifts inside!! So cute! I love them and I wanted her to push Roy (is that his name?) into moving traffic so that Pam and Jim could get together and live happily ever after!! Sigh! Ok enough lame girl talk, Give Me My Remote posted a really great article about John Krasinski (Jim) and BJ Novak (Ryan) apparently they grew up together, too funny!! This show is quickly climbing up my ranks of favorite shows, I think right now it is at #3!

The Christmas Party

There is a new episode of The Office tonight and it looks like it is going to be a classic. Here is the summary from NBC:
SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO SCRANTON -- Morale at the office Christmas party hits an all-time low after Michael (Steve Carell) suggests a game of "Yankee Swap" with the $20 secret Santa gifts - and everyone vies for the ipod he bought for Ryan (B.J. Novak). In an effort to raise his staff’s sagging spirits, Michael introduces vodka shots and things liven up while Jim (John Krasinski) worries that the sentimental gift he got for Pam (Jenna Fischer) will end up in Dwight’s (Rainn Wilson) hands.

I can't wait! It sounds like a fantastic episode!! I wonder if Dwight and Angela will knock birkenstocks again? I love this show!!

My New Monday Night at 8 PM Show...

is Related on the WB!! I have seen one or two episodes here and there and really liked it and now I get to watch it every week until Prison Break comes back on. For those of you who don't know it is a show about 4 sisters in NYC and it is pretty entertaining. Last night was a repeat but it was new to me! It was pretty cute, a little cliche and obvious at times but overall good. I am excited for the Christmas episode next week. One of my new favorite people on tv is Kiele Sanchez who plays Anne the second oldest sister. She is just too cute and spunky!!

It's Not a Trick...

It's an illusion!! How funny was Arrested Development last night? I thought it was a pretty good episode although I know some people just thought it was ok. Here are my favorite parts from last night:
Buster doing the Mr. Roboto dance (Tony Hale was in the VW commercial)
George Michael describing why the bill to legalize cousins marrying in California failed and all the technicalities involved.
The end when Rita walked over the pool and then when Tobias (I think it was him) catches on fire and dives into the pool and screams why am I not sinking.
Rita's uncles Legoland shirt at the end.

I'm sure there are more that I'm forgetting!

Only four more episodes left...ever!!

Disappointment #1

The Gauntlet 2 premiered last night and it was kind of disappointing. They had one measly challenge and the rest of the episode was all about a huge party they had and how Jo thought everyone was crazy!! I like some drama but not all this yelling and screaming and not already. Plus there was one stupid challenge and there wasn't even a Gauntlet! I don't know why I am disappointed but I was looking forward to this show for some reason! The one good thing about this season is that it looks like there are a lot of interesting hook-ups!! The one new thing about the show is the host, TJ Lavin, he is a pro BMX biker or something like that. He seems like a lot of fun.

Another guilty pleasure!!

The Gauntlet 2 premieres tonight on MTV and that means one of my guilty pleasures is back!! The Gauntlet is a challenge show with members of The Real World and Road Rules pariticpating and it always has lots of good drama!! The great thing about this challenge is that Veronica isn't doing it. Veronica has done most of the challenges and she just creates so much bad drama, so I'm glad she is taking a breather. Also taking a breather this challenge is Mike the Miz, Rachel, Coral and I'm sure I'll notice a few other regulars that are missing when the premiere airs tonight at 10/9 central!! Strangely enough I can't find any pics, there are some on the MTV.com website in a slideshow format if you want to get familiar with the cast before the premiere!!

Big News!!

My friends over at Give Me My Remote have scored an interview with two of our favorite office workers. Of course I am talking about The Office. They are going to interview Jenna Fischer aka Pam and possibly John Krasinski aka Jim. And they are looking for questions to ask. So if you have any questions that you want to ask either of them head on over to Give Me My Remote. And while you are over there you should definitely check out their forums, they are a lot of fun!

Hurricane Izzie

Did anyone see Grey's Anatomy last night? Izzie was pissed at Alex and pretty much at the world! I like her better when she is her happy normal self. The episode was definitely good but not outstanding. I thought the quints thing would be more interesting and what was up with the mom!! Geez lady get over yourself already and be there for your babies! And Rosanna Arquette did a great job at the prisoner who swallowed razor blades to get out of jail for a little while. I was so grossed out when she ate the lightbulb, ick!! Next week looks like a great episode though, I can't wait as usual!!

Rob Thomas = Genius

No, I'm not talking about the lead singer of Matchbox Twenty I'm talking about Rob Thomas the creator of Veronica Mars. He recently did an interivew/live call-in show with my favorite tv diva Kristin Veitch from E!Online and it can be seen on UPN.com It's long but I just listened to it like I was listening to the radio at work. Anyway I recommend checking it out, it's very interesting!!

Dave Letterman Can Die Now!!

As pretty much anyone who has ever watched The Late Show with David Letterman knows Dave has been trying to get Oprah on his show since the early 90's. Well last night Dave's dream finally came true and Oprah was a guest on his show. I stayed up to watch it and I was uncomfortable watching it. Dave was very serious the whole time and Oprah seemed to have a total attitude problem. Like she corrected Dave when he said that she hasn't been on the sho in 16 years and she said no it's been 16 and a half years!! Who says that on national tv? They talked about AIDS and Africa and Oprah's childhood and it was very depressing. At the end Dave walked Oprah across the street to the opening of The Color Purple on Broadway. The walk probably took a couple of minutes and they looked so uncomfortable the whole time! Maybe I just thought Oprah had an attitude because I have a problem with her. She yelled at me once and was mean to a friend of mine who was at her house for dinner (he dated a family friend of hers). Anyway it was interesting to see Dave being very serious. I like him much better as his regular goofy self!!

Major Dilemma!

So I have a large problem. I am very into the current season of Everwood right now and I am enjoying it quite a bit. It is probably my 3rd favorite show right now. So all my shows are scheduled great and I can watch pretty much everything I want to watch including Everwood. So what does NBC do they move another one of my top five shows into the same time slot as Everwood. They are moving The Office to Thursdays!! Not good, not good at all. So now I have to make a decision, do I keep watching The Office and laugh my ass off every time or do I keep watching Everwood and get further pulled into the drama of the show? What to do, what to do? I don't know when this change goes into effect but I would image soon!! Any suggestions?

Veronica Mars is Smarter Than Me...

Yes she is! Holy crap I love this show. Please tell me you guys watched it on Wed? If not I will cry tears of sadness for you. This episode was amazing. I know I use the word amazing alot but this was really truly amazing. I think I might even like this episode better than Ahoy Mateys, the episode before it. And that's saying a lot!! There was a lot going on in this episode the main thing is that Veronica is convinced that Duncan's mom had a love child at prom 25 years ago. So VM makes it her mission to track down this love child and shame Celeste Kane and then maybe she will leave VM alone. Well it turns out that Celeste did not give birth to a child at prom but that there is a real live prom baby and it is none other than Trina Echolls. Eventually Trina finds out that her birth parents are the deaf lunch lady and Principal Morehead, scandalous!! We also find out in this episode that Abel Koontz died and VM goes and picks up his things at the hospital. While she is there she peaks in on Meg and after a few seconds of glancing around the hospital room it is revealed that Meg is pregnant. OMG shocker!! Ok I was a little spoiled on that but oh well. Anyway VM leaves the room and right after that Meg opens her eyes. Next week episode looks so great with VM confronting Duncan about Meg being preggers. I think next episode might be the end of Veronica and Duncan as we know it. I for one will be sad if/when they break up. Also there was an alternate ending of the episode on AOL.com and it was quite shocking. Everything is the same VM goes into the hospital room sees that Meg is pregnant and then someone comes in the room so VM hides. It is Meg's mom and she is saying all these sweet things to her daughter. The mom leaves and VM walks out of the bathroom where she was hiding and Meg is flatlining and there is a pillow over her face. VM grabs the pillow off of her face just as a nurse walks in and says what have you done!!! Oh my, could you imagine if that was the real ending? VM being investigated for murder of her pregnant boyfriend's exgirlfriend!! That would have gotten ugly!!

Sick or Sick in the Head?

Sorry about the lack of posts yesterday. I actually felt horrible all day and went home early. I slept for almost five hours and still went to bed at around the same time as usual. Anyway I feel better today and I plan on posting a bunch including a post about Wed's Veronica Mars episode and the alternate ending, a huge scheduling dilemma I have, Oprah on Letterman and I'm sure a lot more!
